Clemson came into the Texas Longhorns' back yard to gain a commitment from the No. 1 rated safety in the Lone Star State in 2021 four-star Austin LBJ Andrew Mukuba (5'11, 175).
Mukuba, who cited a strong relationship with Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables as the main reason he picked Clemson, was also strongly considering LSU.
Mukuba was one of the top performers at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase in January, a football camp that collects some of the top talents on hand in one location every January.
There, Mukuba put his talents on full display, and TexasFootball.com has provided exclusive scouting videos of him from the camp:
Scouting Report: Mukuba is rated as a four-star defensive back, but he is a freakish athlete He makes highlight-worthy plays on offense, defense and special teams. One thing about him that I love is his desire to compete. That combo of skills will make him a player who should be an instant contributor to any college team right away.
Mukuba spoke a little bit more about his strengths as a prospect.
"Covering and coming downhill to make tackles," Mukuba answered when asked what his biggest strengths as a player. "When I am on the field? (My favorite thing to do) is hit somebody and knowing I won't get in trouble for it."
Mukuba and his family moved to Austin when he was nine and he has since blossomed into one of the country's most sought-after recruits. To read more about his fantastic life story, click the link below.
