Austin LBJ 2021 CB Latrell McCutchin (6'1, 170) picked Oklahoma over offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and many more elite programs.
McCutchin was at one time committed to Alabama and reports that the decision-making process came down to a battle between the Sooners and the Crimson Tide.
"For me it has been a long and stressful recruitment process," McCutchin said. "Tearing my ACL my junior season really tore me apart, but luckily for me, I had the best support system and some of the best therapists around to help build me up."
"It's all come down to two schools for me (Alabama and Oklahoma). But I want to thank every school that offered me a scholarship to be a part of their wonderful program. With that being said, I will be taking my talent to the University of Oklahoma for the next three to four years."
McCutchin is rated as the No. 23 overall prospect in the DCTF Top 100 and is the No. 2 CB in the state.
Next Level Athlete Scouting Report: McCutchin is a cornerback prospect who can play on an island. He has a skill set that should be defined as versatile or well-rounded. There is not one area of his game that you can point out as a weakness. McCutchin is equally adept in man and zone coverages and is a willing and able tackler.
McCutchin was named as a first-team member of the 2020 Whataburger Super Team selected by Next Level Athlete.
