Pleasant Grove 2021 DE Landon Jackson (6'5, 240) has named is first two official visits and they are both to SEC country: Texas A&M and LSU.
"I will be taking my first official visit to Texas A&M on April 17-19th, and my 2nd to LSU on May 8-10," Jackson confirmed on social media.
Jackson recently named his Top 10 schools and it definitely has a southern flavor with 7 of the 10 schools hailing from the South. Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.
Jackson checks in as the No. 3 prospect in the early DCTF 2021 prospect rankings and is currently rated as the No. 1 DE in the state.
Analysis: Elite prospect among the nation's best pass-rushers in the 2021 class. Lightning quick off the snap. Bends better than expected for a very tall, long prospect and runs the arc like a natural. The exact positional home depends on continued physical development and college scheme.
As a junior in 2019, Jackson racked up 56 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and nine sacks to help lead his team to a state championship win. He earned 4A Defensive Player of the Year and All-American honors for his efforts.
