Arlington 2020 ATH Jahari Rogers (6'0, 170) is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state.
Rogers has offers from coast-to-coast, and he'd like to announce a decision before the start of the Colts' 2019 season.
A set of favorites have emerged.
Rogers has taken and thoroughly enjoyed official visits to Arkansas and Florida. He confirmed an official visit to Texas on June 21.
Penn State and Tennessee are still in the hunt and Rogers may work in official visits to see their campuses before announcing his commitment. TCU offered early on and is still on his list.
"I am blessed to be in this position, and I have worked hard to be in this position," Rogers said. "I still have to work harder because I want to be at the top, and I have to work hard to be at the top."
Rogers is one of the state's most electric quarterback but projects to play cornerback in college.
"Honestly, I want to play corner, but I am the type of player who doesn't care," Rogers explained. "I will play corner. I will play receiver. I will play safety. It doesn't matter to me."
"If I fit in your system to play corner, then that is what I will play. If I fit in your scheme to play safety, then that is what I will play. I am a baller to me, so whatever position I get to ball at, then that is what I am going to do."
As a junior, he collected and helped lead the Colts to an 11-1 record and a district title.
