Three Key Additions
Who were the highest rated signees or prospects who might come in and make an immediate impact?
- QB Max Duggan (6'2, 190) - Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA): Duggan should come in and compete for immediate playing time with Mike Collins and Justin Rogers. A lanky dual-threat QB who is extremely accurate and can beat you through the air or on the ground. He makes quick reads and is not afraid to push the football down the field. The son of a coach and he plays like one. It will be fun to see what he can do with the weapons that TCU has at WR. The TCU QB room will be fun as it will be an eclectic mix of talents.
- RB Daimarqua Foster (5'10, 195) - Hirschi: Foster is a running back who is easy to get hyped over. Why? Speed. He was clocked with a laser-timed 4.41 40-yard dash in the offseason. He has also backed up his track times with heroic performances on the field. He was a Mr. Texas Football Finalist, rushing for over 2,800 yards and 41 touchdowns as a senior in 2018. TCU fans can't help but compare him to Ladanian Tomlinson. He still has so much to prove to get in that conversation, but for now, it is a signing to be excited about in Fort Worth.
- OT Andrew Coker (6'7, 310) - Katy Taylor: This is a significant get for the Horned Frogs. Coker picked TCU over offers from schools like Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, and Arkansas. Texas made a late run at him by hosting him on an official visit, but he opted to stick with TCU. Coker has been a model of consistency for Katy Taylor and playing in the program he has had an opportunity to line up across from elite defenders in practice and games. There were no days off for him. Coker projects out as a true college left tackle.
Fan Favorite
What prospect was a fan favorite on social media or a local hero who starred near the campus?
- LB Wyatt Harris (6'3, 220) - Aledo: Harris and his family have a TCU tradition going. He will be the third Harris brother from Aledo to don the Horned Frogs jersey. Harris is excited to join his brother Wes Harris on the TCU roster. Wyatt is the perfect fit in the Big 12. He has experience playing safety with the mentality of a linebacker. Harris and his Aledo teammates will play for the 5A-DII state championship on Friday at AT&T Stadium.
Super Sleeper
We pick one prospect on the commit list and break down how he might outplay his ranking in college.
- OL Marcus Williams (6'6, 285) - Longview: Williams fits the definition of a sleeper. He missed his junior season due to an ACL injury, and as a result, he is the lowest-rated high school positional prospect on the Horned Frogs' commitment list. He has bounced back with a strong senior year. He is an OT prospect with long arms and a frame that will hold good weight as he matures. Williams has helped lead one of the state's most potent offensive attacks and is a well-rounded lineman who excels run and pass blocking.
