Texas vs. USC lost a little bit of prestige after both teams lost in the first two weeks of the season. It doesn’t matter; it hasn’t affected ticket prices.

The rematch of the 2005 national championship on Saturday in Austin is the hottest ticket in all of college football, according to Ticket City. Secondary market prices average a cool $322, more than $100 more than the next-closest game.

The attention on this matchup isn’t unexpected. Texas announced before the season that it would not sell single-game tickets for the matchup against USC. The only way to guarantee tickets for the game was to buy season tickets. That only made the demand greater.

USC dropped to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 after losing 17-3 to No. 9 Stanford on Saturday. True freshman starting quarterback J.T. Daniels completed fewer than half his passes and threw a pair of picks.

There’s more than one marquee game in the state this weekend. TCU vs. Ohio State ranks as the third-hottest ticket of the weekend at $165. It narrowly leads Alabama vs. Ole Miss at $164. Keep in mind, that’s the average price at AT&T Stadium, which seats more than 80,000 fans.

Both No. 15 TCU and No. 4 Ohio State have won their first two games in dominant fashion. Ohio State beat Rutgers and Oregon State by a combined 129-34, and TCU beat SMU and Southern by a combined 97-19. It should be a competitive game in Arlington.

The matchup at AT&T Stadium is arguably the biggest on-field matchup of the weekend. ESPN’s College GameDay will be on hand from TCU’s campus in the morning. TCU is 6-0 when appearing on College GameDay.
