Honey Grove Heads East to Find New Head Coach

Harleton head coach Kyle Little named new head football coach at Honey Grove

Honey Grove ISD on Tuesday night named Harleton head coach Kyle Little as the next athletic director/head football coach replacing Shane Fletcher who retired from TXHSFB and joined the staff at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Little arrives in Texoma after a six-year run at Harleton where he posted a 36-30 overall record, he posted an impressive 10-3 mark in his first season and followed that up with four more playoff appearances. His 3-7 mark in 2024 was the first time Harleton missed the post-season during his tenure.

Coach Little has had stops as an assistant coach in East Texas at Hallsville, Gladewater and Mineola as well.

Little will inherit a program with high expectations in 2025 as the Warriors posted a 12-2 mark a year ago and advanced to the 2A-Division I Region III finals before being upset by Joaquin.
