Here's a running list of the Texas college football prospects who've declared early for the 2025 NFL Draft. This is a developing story.
Texas Longhorns
LT Kelvin Banks Jr.
Banks has been a three-and-done prospect since he started from Day One on the Forty Acres at left tackle. Banks leaves Austin as one of the most decorated offensive linemen in Texas history, capping his three-time All-American career by winning both the Lombardi and Outland trophies for the nation's best lineman in 2024. He is a First Round lock.
RT Cameron Williams
Williams started 15 of 16 games at right tackle for Texas this season and is the No.3-ranked tackle in the NFL Draft, per ESPN. Williams has prototypical NFL size at 6'5, 335 pounds and is projected as a late First Round pick.
WR Matthew Golden
Golden is the Longhorn whose NFL Draft stock rose most drastically in 2024. In his one season after transferring from Houston, Golden led Texas with 987 yards and nine touchdowns. His 162 yards in the SEC Championship Game and 149 yards in the Peach Bowl propelled him to a projected Top 50 pick.
WR Isaiah Bond
Bond was the crown jewel offensive skill position player for Texas's Transfer Portal class and finished third on the team with 540 yards despite battling injuries that limited him to just four catches for 57 yards over the final five games. He is still a top-five receiver prospect per ESPN and CBSSports because of his blazing speed.
DT Vernon Broughton
Broughton, a fifth-year senior, had an extra season of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic waiver but is choosing the NFL route after a solid senior season. His play (39 tackles, 5 TFL) turned the interior defensive line, a question mark after losing Byron Murphy and T'Vondre Sweat, into a strength. He's a projected mid-round NFL Draft selection.
RB Jaydon Blue
Blue told reporters before the 2024 season that his junior year would be his last and has kept to his word after compiling 1,098 scrimmage yards and 14 touchdowns. His versatility as a pass catcher (two touchdown receptions in the Cotton Bowl) makes him a fringe Top-100 pick.
Texas A&M Aggies
DE Nic Scourton
Scourton was the highest-profile transfer in Texas and lived up to hype in his sole season with Texas A&M, earning First Team All-SEC honors with 14 tackles for loss and five sacks. His high motor in the run game make him a fringe First Round Draft pick.
DE Shemar Stewart
A former five-star and top-ten overall recruit in the class of 2022, Stewart is the second late First-to-early-Second Round NFL Draft prospect on Texas A&M's defensive line. While he only had 4.5 sacks in 37 career games, his 6'6, 290-pound frame should sell plenty of franchises on his upside.
UTSA Roadrunners
CB Zah Frazier
Frazier was a JUCO All-American who came to UTSA as their highest rated recruit in 2022 and broke out in 2024, leading the American Athletic Conference with six interceptions and also had nine pass breakups. He possesses elite size for the corner position at 6'3, 185 pounds.
