The Highest-Rated Rated Former TXHSFB Prospects in the Transfer Portal

These prospects were all must-have four and five-star recruits coming out of Texas high school football, including Micah Hudson, Johntay Cook II, and Conner Weigman.

WR Micah Hudson (Lake Belton, Texas Tech): The former No. 1 prospect in the state was the Coverboy of DCTF Rising magazine and a five-star. He racked up over 100 yards in his freshman season in Lubbock.

DE Omari Abor (Duncanville, Ohio State, SMU): Was the No. 2 prospect in the state and a member of the Panthers state title team in 2022. He's had limited reps at both stops so far.

WR Johntay Cook II (DeSoto, Texas): The former No. 4 player in the state was five-star who helped DeSoto win two state titles. He had 136 yards in year one and 137 yards in year two.

QB Jackson Arnold (Denton Guyer, Oklahoma): OU burned this former five-star's red-shirt as a freshman and was pulled as the starter before ultimately winning the starting job back this season.  

OL Kam Dewberry (Humble Atascocita, Texas A&M): The former No. 9 prospect in the DCFTF Hot 100 will be a premiere target in the portal as he provides roster flex and SEC experience.

QB Conner Weigman (Cypress Bridgeland, Texas A&M): The No. 10 overall player in 2022 battled the injury bug at times in College Station but is one of the best transfer QBs on the market.

WR Jaquaize Pettaway (Langham Creek, Oklahoma): The No. 12 player overall in the Class of 2023, played in 20 games in two years.

CB Julian Humphrey (Clear Lake, Georgia): The former four-star was a contributor at Georgia but is looking for a more significant opportunity in the portal.

QB Kaidon Salter (Cedar Hill, Tennessee, Liberty): One of the transfer portal's most productive performers, Salter was a four-star and rated at No. 21 in the state out of high school.

LB Xavier Atkins (Summer Creek, LSU): Atkins became a four-star and led Summer Creek to a state title appearance after transferring there from Louisiana before his senior year.

WR Nic Anderson (Katy, Oklahoma): This true deep ball threat had some wow moments at OU. He was the No. 37 prospect in the state in 2022.

QB Chandler Morris (Highland Park, Oklahoma, TCU, North Texas): One of the portal's most experienced prospects, Morris was a four-star in the Class of 2021.

CB Jahari Rogers (Arlington, Florida, SMU): The former four-star from the Class of 2021 retained a year of eligibility after only playing four games this season.

DE Princewill Umanmielen (Manor, Nebraska): The No. 50 prospect in 2023 is rated as the No. 1 overall prospect in the portal per 247Sports.
