Mean & Nimble Describe New Texas A&M OT Commit Lamont Rogers

Mike Elko and the Texas A&M Aggies have secured an important commitment from Mesquite Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers.

Mesquite Horn 2025 OT  Lamont Rogers (6'7, 310) committed to Texas A&M, committing to the Aggies just one day after decommitting from Missouri. The Navy All-American, ranked as the No. 17 prospect in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100, has experienced a remarkable transformation under Mesquite Horn head coach Courtney Allen.

"He's mean," Allen said, highlighting Rogers' toughness. "Look at his length. His wingspan is crazy. He's got a seven-foot wingspan already."

Rogers, a dual-sport athlete, also excels in basketball, which has helped him develop nimble feet and quickness. "I’ve never seen a guy that size get to the second level so quick," Allen added. "He naturally breaks down because he’s been boxing out a lot in basketball."

Rogers' dedication to improving has been evident throughout his high school career. Despite being a dual-sport athlete, "He still comes in early to lift and be with the team, showing his dedication to becoming better."

Rogers' commitment pushed Texas A&M into the Top 10 in the National Recruiting Rankings per 247Sports.
