North Texas Adds to 2025 Class with 3-Star LB from Longview

Longview Lobos three-star linebacker Brenden Reese has committed to play for Eric Morris and the North Texas Mean Green.

Longview 2025 LB Brenden Reese (6'1, 215) has committed to North Texas over offers from Arkansas State, Sam Houston, Texas State, UTEP and Washington State.

"First, I want to thank God for giving me the mindset and abilities to be able to make it to the level I’m at," Reese posted. "I would also like to thank all the coaches that have recruited me and gave me the chance to further my talents at their schools. My family and I have decided this is the best decision for me."

Reese is rated as a DCTF three-star prospect.

"Big and physical player with athleticism to make plays in space," Longview head Coach John King reported about his top-rated defensive talent.

As a junior, Reese collected 64 tackles, nine TFLs and three sacks.
