Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Mitchell, who transferred from Georgia after two seasons, enjoyed a stellar season with the Longhorns in 2023, becoming the first player in Texas history to win Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

The 6-foot-4-inch wide receiver hauled in 55 catches for 845 yards and led the team with 11 receiving touchdowns, the final of which helped spark a Texas comeback attempt in the College Football Playoff semifinal and marked his fifth career CFP touchdown. Mitchell blossomed into the third receiving option alongside Xavier Worthy and tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders that Texas had been searching for in 2022.

Mitchell is the seventh-ranked wide receiver on Mel Kiper's 2024 Big Board and a fringe first round pick who can vault himself comfortably into Day One consideration with a solid combine performance.

Texas has now lost it's leading rusher and top three receivers from the program's first CFP team.
