Texas added one of the top pass rushers in the transfer portal Saturday afternoon.
Former UTSA edge Trey Moore committed to the Longhorns on Saturday after entering the portal earlier in December. Moore, a Spring Branch native, led the Roadrunners in sacks this fall with 14 and recorded 30 solo tackles as a sophomore. He was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Year and was an first-team All-Texas selection. Alabama was also reportedly in the hunt for Moore's pledge.
Moore joins former Clemson defensive back, Andrew Mukuba, and former Houston wideout, Matthew Golden, as top-tier transfer acquisitions for Texas during this cycle. The Smithson Valley product becomes one of just a handful of players to transfer from UTSA under head coach Jeff Traylor.
