North Texas quarterback Chandler Rogers has entered the transfer portal. 247 Sports's Chris Hummer was the first to report.
Rogers was surgical in his lone season at North Texas. The ULM transfer originally lost the starting quarterback battle to Stone Earle, but after an 0–2 start was inserted into the starting lineup and changed the Mean Green's season. Rogers finished with 3,383 yards and 29 touchdowns to just five interceptions and was controversially left off the AAC postseason teams list.
In head coach Eric Morris's first season, North Texas finished for the first time with a 3,000-yard paseer, 1,000-yard rusher (Ayo Adeyi) and 1,000-yard receiver (Ja'Mori Maclin). Now, all have opted to transfer.
Rogers was a junior this past season but is considered a grad transfer with one year of eligibility.
