In the world of cord-cutting and streaming, it's difficult to know where you can watch your favorite Texas college football team on Saturday. Here's a Texas-centric TV guide, and watchability ranking, so you can spend less time finding that gosh-darned channel and more time watching football.

1. No. 7 Texas vs. No. 25 Kansas State (11 a.m., FOX)

If the first College Football Playoff rankings made anything clear, it's that Texas must win out to keep their hopes alive. The problem is quarterback Quinn Ewers remains sidelined with a Grade 2 AC joint sprain. And Kansas State has won its last two games by a combined margin of 82-3. All eyes will be on Maalik Murphy to see if he can carry the Longhorns, but how will Pete Kwiatkowski's defense handle the Wildcats' two-man QB juggernaut of Will Howard and Avery Johnson? They'll need some help from Texas's formidable ground game.

Prediction: Kansas State 38, Texas 30. The Longhorns' CFP hopes buzz sawed by one of the hottest teams in the country.

2. Texas A&M at No.11 Ole Miss (11 a.m., ESPN)

This game was already intriguing before Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin took potshots at Texas A&M for having a roster that should be in the top 10 every year like Ole Miss has been. Literally as I'm typing this I just saw Kiffin called Texas A&M "the most talented 5–3 team ever." They do have Taurean York, the freshman sensation at linebacker. The Aggies last road win was against Missouri in October 2021, and they'll have a tough time knocking off the 7–1 Rebels. Texas A&M will get bowl eligible this season, but they've lacked a signature win. This could be one.

Prediction: Ole Miss 24, Texas A&M 17. The Aggies haven't scored a 2nd half touchdown in the last three weeks, and that trend continues.

3. UTSA at North Texas (2 p.m., ESPN+)

It's the Craven and Hartley bowl. In their past two games, North Texas has fallen behind by three touchdowns only to storm back in the second half to give Tulane and Memphis an upset scare. They might've surprised some people with their rebound from a dismal 0–2 start, but they need to win this game against UTSA if they want to get bowl eligible. The Roadrunners won't overlook the Mean Green, however. Jeff Traylor is plenty aware his program has never won a game in Denton.

Prediction: UTSA 48, North Texas 38. This game is going to have points, points and more points.

Prediction: Texas Tech 30, TCU 17. Texas Tech comes out firing to save the season, while TCU falls into a disheartening 4–5 record.

4. Texas State vs. Georgia Southern (4 p.m., ESPN+)

Texas State has been a fun story to follow this year, but this game is where they could cement themselves as Sun Belt contenders. This issue is Georgia Southern is a salty squad that does well in the stats Texas State does poorly in. TJ Finley has thrown four interceptions in the last three games; Georgia Southern is ninth in the nation in turnovers gained. Texas State is 117th in the nation in passing defense; Georgia Southern quarterback Davis Brin has piloted the eighth-ranked passing offense.

Prediction: Georgia Southern 45, Texas State 27. Georgia Southern is a bad matchup for the Bobcats.

5. SMU at Rice (6:30 p.m., ESPNU)

SMU has laid waste to their American Athletic Conference schedule behind a stout defense, but Rice will be the most explosive group they've faced since TCU. JT Daniels has been incredible this season, and his connection with WR Luke McCaffrey will stretch an SMU secondary that's eighth in the nation in passing defense. SMU quarterback Preston Stone has found his groove in recent weeks. He could've thrown for 700 yards if he wasn't pulled before the first half concluded vs. Tulsa. Can Rice's defense hold him?

Prediction: SMU 31, Rice 20. SMU's defense flexes its muscles.

6. Houston at Baylor (2:30 p.m., Big 12/ESPN+)

This game is like Fast and Furious 10 - Every fundamental aspect of the production will be poor, but it's going to be a fun ride. It's hard to tell which program could use this win more. Baylor is on a shocking two-year collapse from the Big 12 Championship at 3–5. Houston has the worst 2024 recruiting class in the Power Five and just got blanked by Kansas State. 

Prediction: Houston 24, Baylor 21. Houston squeaks a win out and there aren't enough mirrors in Waco for the Baylor coaching staff to look at themselves in.

7. UTEP at Western Kentucky (8 p.m., ESPN+)
Western Kentucky has a fun offense with quarterback Austin Reed, and UTEP doesn't have the manpower to stop them. The Miners overcame a two-touchdown deficit to defeat winless Sam Houston with a walk-off field goal. That's probably going to be their only win for a while.

Prediction: Western Kentucky 44, UTEP 17. It's getting to soul-searching time in El Paso.

8. Sam Houston vs. Kennesaw State (Noon, ESPN+)

Ok Sam Houston fans, this is the week. Kennesaw State is an FCS team in the same boat as Sam Houston was last year, redshirting most of their starters for an FBS transition. Their two wins are Tusculum and Lincoln (California). Sam Houston is a better team than their winless record. But at some point they have to close out a game.

Prediction: Sam Houston 24, Kennesaw State 13. Sam Houston scratches and claws their way into the win column.
