TCU Legacy QB Hauss Hejny Commits to the Horned Frogs

The TCU Horned Frogs just landed a commitment from DCTF Hot 100 QB Hauss Hejny, who led Aledo to the 5A Division I state title.

Aledo 2024 QB Hauss Hejny (5'11, 185) committed to TCU over Baylor, Duke, and Oklahoma State offers.

Hejny completed 117 of 187 passes for 2,094 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for 1,276 yards and 15 scores as a junior in 2022.

He earned Offensive MVP honors following Aledo's 52-14 5A Division I state championship win over College Station.

Hejny is rated as a DCTF three-star prospect, checking in as the No. 91 prospect in the state.

Scout's Take: Hejny is an athletic quarterback who will be a fan favorite at TCU. He is a good fit for the Kendal Briles offensive scheme. He is a dual-threat quarterback who will make plays both through the air and on the ground and has been a proven winner versus elite competition. He poses a significant challenge to opposing defenses due to his versatility and athleticism. Hejny remains focused downfield under duress, adapting quickly with strong footwork. He can make back-breaking gains on the ground and has a proven track record of success against high-level competition. Defenses must account for his field-stretching arm, as he can easily drop deep-range passes. Hejny's versatility will keep defensive coaches on their toes.

Hejny is a TCU legacy recruit as his father Jesse Hejny played football at TCU and his mother JimAnne Hejny was a basketball and track standout.
