Liberty-Eylau 2023 Defender Tracy Revels Packs a Punch

TexasFootball.com was able to get eyes on Texarkana Liberty-Eylau defensive back Tracy Revels in Waxahachie as his Leopards notched another lopsided win to move to 3-1 through the first month of the season.

Texarkana Liberty-Eylau 2023 S/LB Tracy Revels (6’1, 175) is a name that’s been on our radar for a little over a year now but recently has started to see momentum pick up in his recruitment. Including an offer at the start of September.

Arkansas State chose to be the first to pull the trigger to offer the northeast Texas 2023 product after attending a camp this offseason. Since then, the staff in Jonesboro has been in consistent contact with Revels building a relationship with him. One staff member that Revels made sure to highlight was linebackers coach Jon Shalala.

“That’s my guy. We’re locked in. I love the A-State program. They want me to play outside linebacker there,” Revels said.

Other schools showing interest in the LE product include Akron, Houston and UTSA. Regarding UTSA, he mentioned Kurt Traylor as a point of contact. It’s well documented that the Traylor family has deep ties to East Texas. Under Jeff Traylor’s regime, the Roadrunners have done a good job of offering and keeping tabs on the eastern portion of the state. According to a source closely connected to his recruitment, Revels is scheduled to visit UTSA in the coming weeks.
