Baylor Lands a Commitment from Hightower WR Caleb Douglas

Baylor has landed its 16th commitment in the Class of 2022 in Fort Bend Hightower three-star WR Caleb Douglas.

2022 Fort Bend Hightower WR Caleb Douglas (6'3, 185) has committed to Baylor over offers from schools like Houston, Texas Tech, Colorado, Utah, Virginia Tech and more.

It came down to relationship and Douglas formed a strong bond with the Bears coaches.

"After they offered they became my speed dial," Douglas said. "I call them, they call me. We have conversations all the time."

Douglas is the 16th known commitment for Baylor in the Class of 2022 and is the second in-state wide receiver to commit to BU (Rockwall-Heath WR Jordan Nabors).

Douglas transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver and that is when his recruitment took off. He was an all-district selection in 2020-21.

"They are going to have a hard-working wide receiver," Douglas said. "If you throw the ball in my area anywhere, it is going to be my ball. Anyhwere. Just throw it up. I am going to have it."
