With only five football games this weekend, there wasn't much room for movement. However, two C-USA teams moved from

1. Texas A&M Aggies (-)

Record: 6-1
Previous: Cancelled game vs. Ole Miss
Next: at Tennessee

The Aggies were off this week after a number of COVID-19 cases at Ole Miss. It was a good week though – turns out beating LSU is harder than it looks, isn't it Florida? 

2. UTSA Roadrunners (-)

Record: 7-4
Previous: n/a
Next: n/a

The Roadrunners were sadly knocked out of the Conference USA championship game by a UAB win. There's no guarantee that UTSA will be selected for a bowl game. However, it doesn't really matter. UTSA was a special, special team this year. 

3. SMU Mustangs (-)

Record: 7-3
Previous: n/a
Next: Frisco Bowl

The Mustangs accepted an invite to the Frisco Bowl, which is scheduled to take place next week. Their opponent? TBD.

4. Texas Longhorns (-)

Record: 6-3
Previous: Cancelled game vs. Kansas
Next: n/a

The Longhorns have not received an official bowl invite and it's unclear whether they would accept one. Several key players have left the team, now including safety Chris Brown. 

5. TCU Horned Frogs (-)

Record: 6-4
Previous: 52-10 win over Louisiana Tech
Next: n/a

This has to be one of Gary Patterson's weirdest teams, but they somehow managed to finish with the team's best winning percentage since a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game in 2017. The elite young skill position talent got a chance to shine against the Bulldogs. Zach Evans, Quentin Johnston and Kendre Miller are going to be a problem for defenses for years to come. 

6. Rice Owls (-)

Record: 2-3
Previous: 21-16 loss to UAB
Next: n/a

The Owls came up just short against a UAB team that will now play for a conference championship against Marshall. Overall though, the Owls confirmed much of their performance against Marshall and should enter 2021 as a dangerous team. 

7. Houston Cougars (-)

Record: 3-4
Previous: 30-27 loss to Memphis
Next: TBD

The Cougars' final score against Memphis was both so much better and so much worse than it looks. Houston went down 27-5 against the Tigers, but then scored three straight touchdowns to tie, including one with less than a minute left. Of course, Houston's defense than gave up easy yardage to set up a game-winning field goal for the Tigers. Houston apparently hopes to play two more games, but finishing below .500 for a second straight season will bring plenty of consternation. 

8. Texas Tech Red Raiders (-)

Record: 4-6

It's unclear whether Texas Tech will receive a bowl invite or if they would accept one. If not, the Red Raiders' season is over. 

9. North Texas Mean Green (+1)

Record: 4-5
Previous: 45-43 win over UTEP
Next: n/a

The defense still looked like a mess against UTEP, but who cares. North Texas has Jaelon Darden, and Jaelon Darden is one of the best receivers in America. Hopefully the younger defenders will improve with the reps they get in 2020. 

10. UTEP Miners (-1)

11. Baylor Bears (-)

Record: 2-7
Previous: 42-3 loss to Oklahoma State

Baylor's game on Saturday was one of the worst in years. This game was over by the first quarter. It's been a long while since Baylor has been crushed like this. Granted, multiple coaches were out due to COVID-19, so it wasn't an ideal situation, but Baylor simply gave up on this game and this season.
