SMU four-star quarterback commitment Preston Stone became the first athlete from Dallas Parish Episcopal to be named an All-American on Friday evening. 

Friday was a good night for 2021 four-star QB Preston Stone (6'2, 205). He helped lead Parish Episcopal to a 55-21 win in the TAPPS District I Area Round over Bishop Lynch. 

In the win, Stone passed for 318 yards and six touchdowns in the first half. 

After the game was a historic moment for Stone and the Panthers program. 

Stone was named to the 2021 All-American Bowl (the 2021 All-American Bowl will not be played due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic). He is the first All-American in school history. 

Stone checks in as the No. 3-rated quarterback prospect in the state and No. 20 prospect overall in the DCTF Hot 100. 

Stone made his commitment to play at SMU during the 2020 All-American Bowl. Stone was the first-ever junior to make his decision during the broadcast of the All-American Bowl.

Additionally, he is the highest-rated recruit to commit to SMU, likely since the days of Craig James and Eric Dickerson.

"SMU has been my home since before I could walk. I feel like I have been a Mustang since I was little," Stone said at the time of his commitment. "I truly believe that Dallas is the best city in the world. There's no better place to further my athletic and academic career."

Stone is set to sign with the Mustangs in the Early Signing Period beginning on Dec. 16.
