So, just how big is Allen High School?
With an enrollment of 6,959, it has 1,380 more students than the second-biggest high school in the state, Plano West, and 1,514 more students than the third-biggest high school in Plano East.
If Allen was divided into three high schools, the enrollment of those schools (2,319) would be greater than that of 35 6A schools, including Laredo Nixon, Tyler Lee, Edinburg Vela, Harker Heights, Keller Fossil Ridge, El Paso Eastwood, Abilene, Houston Stratford, Copperas Cove, Hutto, San Antonio Wagner, Fort Bend Austin, Waco, and South Garland.
For comparison, you could take the three largest 5A schools - Austin Anderson (2,211), Dallas Highland Park (2,209) and Mansfield Legacy (2,205.5) - and they'd still be 334 students shy of Allen's head count, enough to add a 3A school like Karnes City or George West.
Just for kicks, you could fit over 5.5 of the largest 4A school (Alice - 1,226.5), 13.5 of the largest 3A school (Bishop - 514), 30.3 of the largest 2A schools (Bloomington and Schulenburg - 229) and 67 of the largest 1A school (Neches - 104.5) inside Allen's campus.
Valentine, who submitted eight students at the enrollment deadline earlier this year, could fit inside Allen's enrollment 869 times.
