The Weekly TXHSFB Recruiting Dump (Oct. 2)
What was this week's biggest recruiting news?

Commit of the Week

Class of 2019 ATH Keonte Burns (6'3, 175) from Pittsburg made his commitment to SMU.

Burns is an impressive addition for Sonny Dykes and Co., as he selected the Mustangs over offers from schools like Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Nebraska,  Texas A&M, and Texas Tech.

Burns is a prospect who could star on either side of the football in college at wide receiver or safety.

Underclassman of the Week

Class of 2020 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (6'1, 190) from Rockwall had a monster week.

He is nominated for the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week after collecting 13 catches, 289 yards, and three touchdowns in a hard-fought loss to Longview.

But TDs were not the only thing that Smith-Njigba is collecting this week as he also secured offers from Ole Miss and Notre Dame.
