The revolution will be televised. At least, that’s Mike Elko’s hopes. His tenure begins in Week 1 against a nationally ranked Notre Dame squad with kickoff set for 6:30 Central at Kyle Field. College GameDay will be on site in College Station for the first time since 2018.

Elko was hired to replace Jimbo Fisher after the 2023 season. He was the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame before joining Fisher’s staff at A&M in 2018. Elko was 16-9 in two seasons as head coach at Duke. He was the DC at Texas A&M from 2018-2021.

The Notre Dame game is one of four premium home games in Aggieland during the 2024 season. Texas A&M also hosts Missouri, LSU, and Texas this season.
